| Kathy Griffin Gets Her Own Talk Show On Bravo!! Posted: 07 Jan 2012 01:40 PM PST Move aside, Real Housewives! Kathy Griffin is the OFFICIAL Queen of Bravo! Our favorite funny lady has just landed a new hour-long weekly talk show for the cable network, which will start this spring. She'll be ranting and raving about celebs, pop culture, and if we keep our fingers crossed, some more juicy Cher stories! This comes on the heels that Bravo will be extending their popular late-night show Watch What Happens: Live five nights a week AND will be adding Sandra Bernhard as a weekly correspondent to deliver her "Sandrology." As if Bravo wasn't our favorite network already! Let's just hope they don't get Sandra and Kathy in the same room together! Ha! A big congrats to Mz. Griffin on the new gig! | Kristy McNichol Comes Out As A Lesbian To Help Stop Bullying Posted: 07 Jan 2012 12:40 PM PST Good for her! Actress Kristy McNichol has been out of the public for about 20 years, but she's bravely chosen to come out to try to help kids who are being bullied. The Family and Empty Nest star decided to make an official statement about her sexuality not only because she is "approaching 50," but she wants to "be open about who I am" and "is very sad about kids being bullied." Her rep says:
Kristy has lived with her partner Martie Allen for the past two decades and focuses on improving her health by doing yoga, playing tennis, traveling, and raising her miniature dachshunds. It's great to hear that she's so happy and healthy - and what a wonderful message to country's youths who are struggling with being who they truly are. | The Thin Ice Trailer Is A Little Fargoesque Posted: 07 Jan 2012 12:20 PM PST And don't get us wrong, we LOVE Fargo, but the new Greg Kinnear / Billy Crudup movie looks a little like a rehash of everyone's favorite indie crime comedies. Thin Ice is about a shady insurance agent (Kinnear) who tries to steal a precious violin from one of his clients. But when Crudup's character becomes involved, shiz hits the fan and hijinks ensue! Oh, but the one thing we're super happy about is that Lea Thompson is back on the big screen!! Watch above! |
| Leo Refuses To Promote Titanic 3D! Posted: 07 Jan 2012 12:00 PM PST Aw! Don't be such a stinker! Although, honestly, we don't blame the guy. As you all know by now, 20th Century Fox is re-releasing the 1997 film Titanic in 3D and yeah, obvsies, it will most likely dominate at the box office even 15 years later. But the film's star Leonardo DiCaprio is gonna sit this one out as he's unwilling to participate in promoting the film. And the reason why? A source says:
Yes, of course, we'd love to hear Leo's thoughts on the film after all these years, but it is what it is. Meanwhile, you can still check out the movie in all its 3D glory this April 6th. |
| Matt Damon Hands Over Directing Role To Gus Van Sant Posted: 07 Jan 2012 11:40 AM PST If he can't do it himself, he might as well give it to one of the best. Matt Damon was all set to direct the screenplay he wrote with John Krasinski, but time commitments got in the way, he handed over the reigns to his pal Gus Van Sant. And Van Sant knows a thing or two about directing a Matt Damon screenplay. He also directed the Oscar winning film Good Will Hunting. The Capraesque drama stars Damon and Krasinski, who play rival corporate executives and will star production in April. With such three big talented names, we are super stoked for this movie. | This Is The Actress Suing IMDB For Exposing Her Age Posted: 07 Jan 2012 11:20 AM PST Junie Hoang is the name of the actress who is suing IMDB and Amazon for revealing her age. In case you haven't seen such classics as Gingerbread Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver and Hoodrats 2: Hoodrat Warriors, then you might not be too familiar with her, but according to her IMDB page, she's been working since she was 16. She originally filed an anonymous lawsuit, last October but a federal judge ordered that she reveal her identity or else the million-dollar lawsuit would be dismissed. Hoang claims that after the websites revealed her birth year, telling the world that she's 40 years old, she says that her movie offers dried up. The sad part is 40 is considered over the hill by Hollywood standards, especially since only 12.5% of the tv and movie roles go to women over a certain age. But, damn, Junie looks great! We would never guess she would be turning 41 this year - not that it matters - but still. Whatever you're doing gurl, keep doing it. The Screen Actors Guild has also issued a statement, applauding Hoang, real name Huang Hoang, for her:

| Finally! Selena Gomez Gets Restraining Order From Stalker Posted: 07 Jan 2012 10:20 AM PST Seriously! It IS about time! After a delusional stalker threatened to KILL Selena Gomez, a civil judge has finally granted her a three-year restraining order against the man who traveled from Illinois to try to meet her. Thomas Brodnicki has been been ordered to stay away from Selena and cannot even attempt to contact her. The 46-year-old man has a history of mental illness and told people that he had conversations with God about murdering her. He even admitted to his psychiatrist that he had made several visits to workplace to try to get to her. Thank goodness, Judge William D. Stewart finally saw the light and granted the order. A previous judge had dropped the felony stalking charge against him because prosecutors didn't provide enough argument that Brodnicki was a "serious threat" to Selena. After Selena wrote in a declaration that she was in extreme fear, the judge said that she had reasonable cause to be granted the protective order. Neither Selena nor Brodnicki were in court on Friday. So scary! Bet she's breathing a sigh of relief right now! This was a major victory for her. You can sleep in peace again, Selenita!
