Now that we are in the new year, its time to start thinking about some of the most anticipated flicks of 2012. Some chapters are ending - The Dark Knight Rises, Breaking Dawn: Part Two, but some are just beginning, like The Hunger Games and most especially, The Avengers.

If ever there was a movie to get pumped about, this Joss Whedon venture would be the one. And if you need some incentive to get into the spirit, look no further than this here new poster for the movie.

We know he's Iron Man, but must we cover Robert Downey Jr. smokeshow face like that! Seriously, is that necessary! LOL!

Russell Out And About In London On A Solemn Note

Russell and Katy are unfortunately splitting and Russell has been bouncing around LondonTown in the aftermath

Russell is trying to chillax at the Savoy Hotel and was spotted picking up a mystery lady earlier on Tuesday?

Has he hit the rebound track already?! No, it was just a friend.

When a hotel patron wished the comedian a Happy New Year, Russell could only reply, "Here's hoping it gets happier."

UGH! Rick Santorum And His Racist Welfare Comments!

Just terrible!

Okay, so, the republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum decided recently that it was okay to single out black people when it came to discussing welfare -- playing right into racist stereotypes that are not true at all.

He was asked this question:

"How do we get off this crazy train? We've got so much foreign influence in this country now. Where do we go from here?"

Which, at it's core, seems to be a question about foreign money.

This is how Santorum responded:

"The bottom line is, I don't want to make black peoples' lives better by giving them, I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn the money and provide for themselves and their families."

First off, that doesn't really have anything to do with foreign money. That's just weird to respond like that.

Secondly, and most blatantly, he singles out the black community. Why? Why does he decide to do this?

Especially when only 9% of Iowans on food stamps are black, and a whopping 84% are white. Nationally the picture is still the same: 39% white, 37% black, 17% hispanic!

So what's his reason for singling out black people? This:

"Yesterday I talked for example about a movie called, um, what was it? 'Waiting for Superman,' which was about black children and so I don't know whether it was in response and I was talking about that."

... Which is a movie about several different races.

Ugh. We just don't get it. Why can't people just be tolerant of each other? Why do we have to single anyone out for being black, especially when the statistics don't back it up? How do people like this get into the position of enough supporters to even try for the President of the United States??

Eva Mendes Meets Ryan Gosling's Mom!

For New Year's Day, Ryan Gosling took his mom and girlfriend out to the movies in Manhattan.

That's right, Eva Mendes has met the mother. It's serious...

A source says:

They all hung out and went to the movies together. Ryan and Eva seemed very happy.

And more eyewitnesses claim the two were kissing non-stop when it was time to board their plane two days prior...

What? No, those aren't tears falling from our eyes. We're not crying... we're not!!

Disney's BIG New Year's Eve Announcement Revealed!

SO COOL!!!!!!

Last week, Disney teased a special announcement (above), which they promised to make during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Now, the big news has been revealed, and here it is:

"For the first time ever, both Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland park will stay open for 24 hours straight. That's right, from 6 a.m., February 29 to 6 a.m., March 1, 2012, local time, you can fill the extra day of leap year with a marathon of Disney Parks fun."

24 hours straight at Disney? We could get to know animatronic Mickey pret-ty well with that much time at the park! Ha!

What do U think? Will U spend an entire day at Disney on Feb 29???

P.S. They should get Kaskade to perform a Disney-themed set at one of the parks the entire time! It'd only be twice as long as his NYE set! LOLz!

Shakira Enjoys A Miami Vacation!!

It's been a busy year for Shakira!

She worked super hard on her tour, got a star on Hollywood Blvd, looked hot every day, etc...

So this Miami vacation was definitely deserved! And she got to spend it with boyfriend Gerard Pique and her family.

We bet she had a great New Year's Eve there!! Glad she got to bond with the fam too!

Take this flick, Upside Down, starring the yummy Jim Sturgess. The pair take on the roles of star-crossed lovers who try and find a way to be together despite incredible odds.

The Obamas Enjoyed Waikiki For New Year's EVE

The First Family enjoyed the white sandy beaches of Wakiki for the weekend New Year's Eve.

President Barack and Michelle Obama took over some private digs for a midnight celebration, including.

Sasha and Malia were not present, leaving the couple available for some possible midnight snogging!

Unfortunately, the event was leaked and many people stood outside the Obamas' hotel.

No privacy, even on vaycay!

Sandra Bernhard Slams Kathy Griffin!

Aww! This is a shame!

We like them both!

Sandra Bernhard apparently isn't a fan of the comedic stylingz of Kathy Griffin, and recently spoke out against her - as well as one of the more frequent subject of the comedienne's sets - the Kardashian family!

She explains:

"I've never been a fan of Kathy Griffin -- you know that. Every time she sees me, she hides. If I saw her, I would tell her to find a new angle. Just to say someone is stupid, that's not crafting an idea. I think things through. I absorb culture and put it out in layers. You know what's funny, I was standing outside the Gansevoort Park Hotel looking at the sky and thinking the Kardashians live here. I mean, what do they do when they are with a man? Do they just sit there and say, 'I think you're so hot?' Do they touch them? Do they go straight for the genitals? Is it really that sexual? Do they just do that for TV? At the end of the day they just plug them in to recharge them. And then they wake up in the morning and go 'ah!'"

Ah! Well, with all due respect, we think Kathy's comedy is a little more than just calling people stupid!

Variety is the spice of life! Even if that variety includes the Kardashians!

Rebound love is in the air!!

Last we heard of J.Lo and Casper Smart, they were making singles sick and jealous in Vegas. But right before the New Year, the love doves were showcasing their affections at Soho House in Miami.

Their PDA was so overwhelming, it's been referred to as "snacking on each other!" LOL!!

A source exclaims:

It looked like their noses were touching when they talked. [They] virtually ignored the other eight people in their dinner party — except when they wanted a picture taken of them.

Hmm, ignoring everything else for love? Yeah, sounds about right in this stage -- especially for such a hopeless romantic like Jenny!!
