Angelina Jolie: The Trip That Transformed Me From Wild Child To Grateful Adult

We all know Angelina Jolie was into some dark sh*t back in the day. And we all know she transformed over night into this humanitarian queen.

But we've never really known how or why she changed. Most people credit Brad Pitt to her metamorphosis, but when you really think about Angie, you know a manz isn't to thank for all of it!

Nope! It's actually thanks to her first trip to Sierra Leone. Used to the dark side of Hollywood, she learned what real darkness was like -- a war zone. And that turned her world upside down.

She elaborates:

I was young, and I was bold, but I didn't have a sense of use. I didn't understand the world, and I didn't understand a sense of perspective that you gain as you get older. I started to travel, and I started to ask questions.

About 11 years ago, I went to Sierra Leone for the first time. It was the first time I was in a war zone. I went to a refugee camp, and I was shell-shocked. Suddenly, the world changed for me.

My understanding of the world changed. I never woke up again wanting to be self-destructive, self-possessed or self-pitying in any way. I realized that it was important to wake up every day feeling grateful for your family and for your opportunities.

And ever since, she's been fighting for human rights more than working for the movies.

But her latest film, In the Land of Blood and Honey, fuses her two passions. The film depicts such horrific acts of war, she even told Marie Claire she had to leave the set multiple times!

Ya know what, as fun as it was to watch her craziness in the past, we're glad she polished herself up. Go gurl.

The Boys Of The Jersey Shore Tease Vinny's Exit From The Show

Try to remember now, way back into the summer months. The boys and guidettes of The Jersey Shore had just returned from Italy and headed right back to their normal stomping grounds, Seaside Heights, to shoot their fifth season. As you might recall, things took a turn for the worst when Vinny, one of the most laid-back members of the crew, decided he had enough of fist-pumping and binge drinking and opted to leave the show for good.

As it turns out, that actually did happen and Vinny opened up about leaving the show when he and his boyz were on Jimmy Kimmel last night to promote it.

Check out the video (above) to watch Vinny, DJ Pauly D, Ronnie and The Situation tease Vinny's absence from the show -- and his possible return.

Gosh, is there anyone who hasn't walked off the show at least once. Maybe Pauly D, huh?

Mario Lopez Proposed To His GF In Mexico!

Looks like Mario's finally ready for a REAL marriage!

We've JUST learned that Mario Lopez decided to start off the New Year by proposing to his girlfriend Courtney Mazza on the beach in Mexico!!!!

Here's what Mario had to say about it:

"I've come to the realization that I'm never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have and I think she's finally succumb to my pressure and will take me. So we'll see, I hope."

While we assume she said yes, Mario won't reveal the outcome of his proposal until today's episode of Extra...so stay tuned!

...But seriously, congratulations Mario! Obviously UR getting married! LOLz!

James Franco To Add Novelist To His Resume

Let's see. James Franco has gone by many names: actor, artist, Oscar host, daytime soap star, Green Goblin, hiker with only one hand...

But now, James can add another title to the growing list: published author.

James has sold his first novel, Actors Anonymous, to Amazon Publishing. Loosely based on his life, the story will be the first full length piece of literature James has ever written. Some of you may remember that he's already has a book of short stories released, Palo Alto, back in June

Now this should be interesting! How far back into James' life do you think this will go? How long will the chapter on filming Pineapple Express be? Will he finally fess up about what kind of cheeba he was smoking during the Oscars?!

One can only hope!

Adele's 21 About To Beat Titanic Soundtrack For Most Weeks Atop The Billboard Charts!!!!

Not only does she have a new lover, but gurlfriend's about to sink the Titanic!!

Adele's incredible 21 is back at #1 on the Billboard charts, accomplishing her 14th week on the throne.

Titanic's soundtrack has 16 weeks... So yeah, only three more to go? We're betting money on the goddess!!!

In other Billboard news, LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It continues to be the number one party hit, with 417,000 sold. This week marks their biggest sales week yet. Must have been all that NYE pre-gaming, LOL!!

Amanda Seyfried And Taylor Swift Offered Female Leads In Les Misérables!

We cannot even BEGIN to discuss how excited we are for this!

The cast is worth ticket prices ALONE!

Tom Hooper is hard at work on his film adaptation of the Broadway smash Les Misérables, with Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen having already signed on, and Eddie Redmayne recently taking the role of Marius and Aaron Tveit as Enjolras!

But now, we're hearing that two young ladies have been offered the arguably most-anticipated roles, and it appears that Amanda Seyfried will playing Cosette, while Taylor Swift takes on Eponine!

Oh man!

We already know how fantastic Amanda is, but if our T-Swizzle can pull this role off, then WOW!

This could project her into Jennifer Hudson territory!

David Fincher To Pull Double Duty And Film Two Girl With Dragon Tattoo Sequels Back To Back!

David Fincher wants more of Lisbeth Salander!

Despite its less-than-stellar box office debut, Sony is moving forward with the two sequels to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest!

Rooney Mara stated that she thought people would treat her differently due to her dark turn, but Fincher has his way, they might be thinking differently for at least two more years.

The Fight Club and The Social Network helmer wants to film the last two parts of the trilogy back to back.

Talk about a tough workload!

On yet another HIGHlarious episode of The Stephen Colbert Report, Stephie thought it'd be fun to predict the Iowa Caucuses results with a snail.

In a grand light show of an event, invertebrate prognosticator Megyn Shelly picked the best candidate.

Funny enough, the snail shares the thoughts of most thinking Americans when it comes to those guys, LOL!!

Brandi Glanville Comments On Her Vegas 'Marriage!' She Doesn't Regret It!

Looks like Brandi is standing by her decision to get drunkenly married in Vegas!

To recap - Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Brandi Glanville made a last minute decision to get "married" to BFF Darin Harvey in Sin City on NYE!

Then, Darin's ex-wife Michelle Harvey sent out some ANGRY tweets to Brandi about the Vegas marriage...even though it wasn't actually legal.

Now, Brandi has opened up about all the drama! Here's what she had to say about it:

"My dad called me. They love Darin, so they've wanted me to marry him forever. They're like, 'You finally did it!' I'm like, 'Well, kind of.' "

"I got like 3,000 new [Twitter] followers in two hours. I wrote back, 'It's not legal, It's not binding,' just to be clear. And I still kept getting congratulations."

"He's my best friend. I'm always down to have a good time. It sounded like something different. It was on my bucket list [to] get married in Vegas, so why not?...We're not really married, but we went through the motions and we had a good time."

And here's what Brandi has to say to all the haters out there:

"Suck it. That's pretty much it."
